Project Metis

Advanced Airport Operations Optimization Simulator

Welcome to Metis!

Ever wondered what it’s like to run a whole airport?
Metis is your all-in-one simulation platform for that!

From air traffic to passenger flow, baggage chaos, ground services, and real-time info – we’ve got it all (in one place)!

Right now, we’re running the show locally. AWS EKS would burn a hole in our pocket with all the computational juice it needs.

But hey, take a stroll through the services below while we try to make platform accessible for you.

Air Traffic Control
Manages aircraft in controlled airspace, runway scheduling, ground movements, conflict detection, and ATC communications.
Passenger Services
Oversees the passenger journey from check-in to boarding, including security, immigration, lounges, and boarding gates.
Baggage & Cargo Handling
Tracks and routes luggage and cargo, manages warehouses, and coordinates loading/unloading.
Aircraft Ground Services
Handles fueling, cleaning, maintenance, pushback, and towing between flights.
Airport Ops & Infrastructure
Manages power, water, waste, facility maintenance, emergency response, and security patrols.
Public Information Systems
Runs flight boards, announcements, maps, and advertising displays for passengers.
External & Logistics Interfaces
Connects airlines, weather services, city transport, and customs APIs.
Simulation & Data Layer
Core engine for simulation, event bus, data store, analytics, ML, and API security.

Project Metis is all about building the coolest, most efficient airport system out there and we’re just getting started.
It’s not about making money, it’ll always be free and keep growing. Some stuff, like public access to the simulator, might need a small fee later on since running it in the cloud is super expensive with all the power it takes.

Metis is for everyone who loves aviation—sim fans, ATC geeks, virtual pilots, airport designers, or even real-world pros. We’ve got Reddit and Discord for anyone to hang out, follow progress, and drop ideas. Every now and then, we’ll hop on Twitch to stream short sim sessions too.

We are open to any additions into data lake, feel free to generate a ticket to add data to project metis.
